A Trbute to Phil  (filcab)

We'll keep the candle lit Phil.

May 6, 1948 - June 7, 2007

                    Love Philip Terrance

Phil had Emphysema (COPD) and he wasn't afraid to say the words...."I Have...."

Phil Cable "filcab" as he was known to many COPDer's worldwide  on the internet,  had a tremendous passion to help his fellow man.  Even in his darkest times when he was hospitalized for a collapsed lung, he was "connected" and kept everyone updated and shared info;  and information is knowledge.

He helped more people with COPD Internationally than anyone.  Additionally he wrote several pieces in "speakeeze"(still circulated on the internet) and shared them with us here as well.

We are so grateful.

Breathing Distress,  Learning to Eat Without Discomfort, Anxiety & PLB (Pursed Lip Breathing), Diaphragmic Breathing 101, Exhale & Relax.  He also contributed to Understanding Spirometry & PFT's

We learn by the sharing of  knowledge. Teachers and pupils.  Phil was a teacher, whether it was fellow COPDer's, nursing staff, Dr's; family, friends;  it didn't matter.  He taught.

And; his candle, the candle of all COPDer's worldwide,  will be kept lit by others, and the others after the others until there is no more COPD.

And when that happens, be assured, there will be a LOT of rejoicing in Heaven!  One man alone  will sound like a major orchestra! (we'll see you on the other side my friend)
